Five stops, five very different pieces of ground. Between late May and the end of July, All Waste Dumpsters ran commercial and residential rentals across the county that together cover most of what a summer route here looks like: a warehouse lot with fresh blacktop, two horse properties, an RV resort, and a stucco home with a concrete driveway.
Every container went out on the same kind of hook lift truck and came back to our yard on NW 95th Street in Ocala. What changed from stop to stop was the ground under the box and how the customer needed to keep working around it. Some sites had room to spare. A couple had very little. We picked these five because, side by side, they answer the questions people ask us before they book. Yes, if it goes where the traffic does not. At the warehouse stop in May, the container went tight against the building beside an open roll up door, so the crew could carry drywall scrap straight from the unit into the box while the parking stalls stayed open for tenants.
Placement matters more than it looks. New asphalt softens on a hot Florida afternoon, and a loaded box parked in the middle of a fresh lot can leave marks the property manager will be looking at for years. Keeping it against the building puts the weight near an edge where cars never park anyway. Dust is the other issue. You can see it on the blacktop in the photo, which is why a broom was leaning on the wall before the job was done.
The residential stop in late July was a different problem. That homeowner was loading a mattress, a pet crate, and household clutter, and the box sat on the concrete driveway with boards under it so the steel never touched the slab. How do you place a dumpster on a horse farm?
On firm, dry ground the truck can reach without crossing a pasture. At the June barn stop the container sat on packed sand under a live oak at the open side of the barn, so mulch and wood scraps went in with a short carry.
Marion County is known as the Horse Capital of the World, and a good share of our summer work happens on farms. Ground is the first thing we look at. Sand feels solid until a loaded box and a heavy truck work on it after an afternoon storm, so we aim for the packed drive a farm already uses for trailers and feed deliveries. Branches come next. Our hook lift trucks handle low limbs better than cable trucks do, which is how a box ends up under a canopy of oaks like this one.
The July farm stop went along a board fence, on grass well away from the metal barns and the tractors working the sand. Horses notice trucks. Let us know where they will be on delivery day, since a hydraulic arm setting down a steel box is loud.

What does a full dumpster look like at pickup?
Level with the top rail and no higher than the yellow MAXIMUM LOAD LEVEL sticker. The RV resort container in the July photo is right at that line, packed with bagged trash, and the hook arm on our truck is already raised to pull it.
Anything mounded above the rail has to come off before the box leaves, because a load has to be secured for the road and a heap cannot be. On a hot day that means somebody hand unloading bags. Weight works differently. Bagged household trash rarely comes close to a container's tonnage, but wet sand, roofing, or concrete can reach the limit while the box still looks half empty. That is why we ask what is going in when you call.
